Snowdonia Challenge

One of our Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, W.Bro Jim Cook PSGD and other Brethren and their families are to lead an expedition of Surrey 'Mountaineering' Masons hoping to climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon, Wales' highest peak at 1085m.

They hope to raise the Provincial Flag on reaching the summit, and also raise funds through sponsorship for the Surrey 2019 Festival. The assault on the summit has been organised by W.Bro Terry Owens who is himself an experienced climber and past conqueror of the Welsh peak. The climb will take place on the 6th June 2015, weather permitting.

Among those accompanying Terry and the AProvGM'on the trek will be W.Bro Paul Crockett and E.Comp Rob Shephard - our intrepid Provincial Grand Charity Stewards, W.Bro Ian Chandler - the 2019 Festival Committee Chairman, W.Bro Graham Best, W.Bro Alan Corb and a team of enthusiastic Brethren and Companions together with their wives and partners.
