Race for Life and Surrey 2019 festival both benefit from support of
family and friends of Carshalton Lodge
At the recent Installation Meeting of Carshalton Lodge No. 4429 Mrs Beverley Field, wife of W Bro Kevin Field, fulfilled the pledge she made at the launch of the 2019 Festival. On that evening Beverley announced that she would be taking part in the 2014 Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK, along with Mrs. Georgina Cook, wife of W Bro Jim Cook, Mrs Nicola Feltham, wife of W. Bro Nigel Feltham of Stoneleigh Coronation Lodge and other family and friends.
Beverley, co-owner of label printing company Modern Labelling Methods based in Purley Way, Croydon, pledged that her company would match the amount raised by the Race for Life team and donate that amount to the 2019 Festival.
The Ladies all ran the 5K race on 13th July this year and with the generous support of many Masons from the Province of Surrey along with other fantastic sponsors from the local community raised £2000 for Cancer Research UK.
On 4th October Beverley joined members after the meeting and presented a cheque for £2000 to W. Bro. Ian Chandler, Chair of the 2019 Festival Committee, in support of the 2019 festival.

A delighted Ian said “We know that so much support is given by friends and families and this is a splendid initiative. In addition to the money raised for Cancer Research this is a wonderful and welcome gift in support of the RMBI. Thank you for all you do in support of the Province of Surrey and an especial thank you on behalf of the festival committee and of all those who will benefit from this very generous donation”
