10th Provincial Motorcycle Rally

Calling all Riders,

WE’RE ON THE ROAD AGAIN…FOR THE FINAL TIME!!!

The tenth **AND FINAL** annual Surrey Provincial Sponsored Motorcycle Rally will take place, rain or shine, on Sunday June 26th.  As we did successfully last year, we will all ride in together as a group to support the Shannon Court Garden Party.

As always, there will be a number of clues to find. Like last year, having found the answers, we will muster at the National Trust Tea Room at The Devil’s Punchbowl, before we ride as a group the short distance to Shannon Court, where parking will be set aside for us.

It’s been great to organise the Rally for the last ten years but I believe it’s gone as far as it can, and it’s time to put it to bed, having raised a total figure well in excess of £10,000 for various charities, both Masonic and non-Masonic.

Again, the Charity we’re supporting is the RMBI (the Surrey 2019 Festival) so it seems appropriate to end the final Rally at one of their two splendid Care Homes which lie within our Province.

All classes and types of motorcycle are invited to take part.  Pillions are most welcome.

Riders can start from wherever they like, and do the circuit using whatever route suits them.  They can ride alone or in groups of friends.  We do not all ride as one large group, except for the final short drive from the muster point to Shannon Court.

You don’t have to answer all the questions on the list (to be provided nearer the date of the Rally), as some of the locations might be right over the opposite side of the Province, and therefore a bit inconvenient.  Pick the ones which suit your home location, etc.

A few days before we ride, I will give you the list of questions, where to find the answers, and what time to meet at The Devil’s Punchbowl (it should be around 1.30 approx.)

Please make cheques payable to ‘The Freemasons Grand Charity’ (Reg Charity No 281942)

I’ve attached the usual Sponsor form. You can print as many as you think you’ll need.   Please ask your Lodge/Chapter members, family and friends to support the Rally.   Also, please ask your sponsors to fill in the Gift Aid part of the form, if they are UK taxpayers.  This greatly increases the value of any donations, as you know.

As usual, the Rally is open to non-Masonic friends of the regular riders.  Let’s get more bikers and their pillions involved and raise even more money for charity!

You can ride with as many of your non-Masonic biking friends as you like.  The only rule is that the riders you bring along (but not their pillions) must have sponsored you for at least £10.

As soon as you can, PLEASE let me know if you intend/don’t intend to take part. To Email Nigel Click here

Let’s hope for a fine dry day!
